Worldwide interest for first edition Grand Prix Sales Online

Top results in first edition of Grand Prix Sales on Friday and Saturday night.

A lot of professional stables from The Netherlands and abroad invest in the collection jumping and dressage foals of Grand Prix Sales Online. Buyers from the USA, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Canada, France, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands and Italy made their bids quickly, resulting in good prices for the auction foals and their breeders.

Sannah Angenent: We succeeded in offering both breeders and buyers an interesting online auction platform. Marjolein Ras and I wanted to auction a small collection of topclass foals. The opportunity to cooperate with partner CSI Twente, the well known prestigious show in The Netherlands, was fantastic. Unfortunately due to Covid-19 we had to decide to auction our topclass foals online. Looking at the auction results we are very happy the way it went and also grateful for the confidence of both breeders and buyers worldwide. In addition, almost all auction foals will go to profession stables and one of them will go to one of the world’s best Grand Prix riders”.

Powerman Texel the favorite
Powerman Texel (Governor x Bleu Hors Don Schufro), was the top seller with 37.000 euros. Biddings were made right from the start of the auction. This promising dressage foal has a great future ahead as the well known dressage family Nekeman invested in this top foal.

Lens Nekeman : Yesterday I checked the Grand Prix Sales collection together with my wife Berna and our daughters Denise and Jeanine. We were impressed by the quality of Powerman Texel and how he is moving. We have good experiences with buying top foals at elite auctions. We hope we will be very successful again with this foal.” Powerman Texel was bred by the famous breeder Wim van der Linde from Texel.

The other top sellers were the dressage foals Pablo Picasso (Glock’s Taminiau x Florencio) sold for 23.000 euros who stays in The Netherlands and Pearl Jam LH (v. Le Formidable x Fürst Romancier) for 19.000 euros who leaves to a dressage rider in the USA.

Jumping foals
The first auction day was also very successful. The top sellers were Panorama Z (v. Padinus x Murano, full brother to Admara 2) and Deze Piet Z (Dominator Z, brother to Amber Fijen’s Briljant, 1.60 m) sold for 23.500 en 19.500 euros. Foals were sold to professional stables in the USA, the United Kingdom, Italy, the Netherlands and Germany.
